A great day in Timber Town, Wauchope. The kids rode a horse and a mule. Or it could have been a donkey. Click on Ed for more.

Day 13
It’s been a terrific holiday, the last two days we couldn’t do more than just blob by the pool and grab a few last-minute Malaysian delicacies.
Ed and I saddled up to a power boat for some para-sailing.

Day 10
Today we re-acquainted ourselves with our old friend Thomas Chin who gave us a tour in his new minibus to a Batik factory, the Butterfly Farm and one of the highlights of the trip so far, the Tropical Fruit Farm.
After the tour we helped ourselves to a plate of many new fruit and were served the most delectable fruit juices. Back to the hotel for lunch, more lazing around the pool and dinner at Happy Garden Restaurant.
more touring, more eating

We’re really starting to feel the positive effects of ten days away from home. This morning we took a tour of Georgetown and saw the sights. David Jones Chatswood is no longer officially the cheapest place to buy shoes for Alice. We bought a pair at a streetside stall for RM10.

This morning we took a cab to the Tropical Spice Garden in Teluk Bahang. Interesting place with lots of trails around 500 different plants and bugs. Behind the kids below is a log that was washed up on the beach across the road during the tsunami. No one is sure where (perhaps what country?) it originated from.

Edward loves a buffet breakfast and they don’t come much bigger or better than the Golden Sands, Batu Ferrenghi. Turkey bacon may sound odd but it’s a satisfactory substitute.
After a few early morning showers, the rain cleared and we spent a great day by the pool.
